Solar panels need no time to convert sunlight into electricity. As soon as they receive photons from the sunlight electrons contained within the semiconductor will be activated by the photons energy and break the barrier, creating a flow of DC current. The electricity generating process is very straight forward and done quietly because there are no moving parts involved. They also emit zero by-products during the process. Wind turbines convert wind energy into electricity and they can work side by side with the electric solar panels to create more green electricity. Wind electricity has the lowest cost amongst the other renewable energy converters in the market, making it to be the fastest growing generator of green electricity in the world. The USA Dept. of Energy expected the wind power’s cost to keep going down and by 2020 wind electricity will become the cheapest electricity, no other energy sources can beat it. Solar energy panels are the front end of solar energy system. Together with other living creatures on earth – the plants and animals- we are depending greatly on the solar energy. None of us can survive without it, and on contrary to the fossil energy, the solar energy is renewable and free. The solar cost is spent mainly on the equipment only because you get the energy free from the nature. Read the rest of this entry »
